Alexandre Vassiliev, the maestro returns to Toronto with a lecture “Fashion and Eroticism”

Fashion historian, art critic, collector, and incomparable storyteller Alexander Vasiliev will present his new lecture. “Fashion and Eroticism” — about how desires and prohibitions, morals and sexual revolutions have influenced the development of fashion and the canons of beauty over the centuries.

At this event, you will learn:

— what hidden and obvious tricks in clothing have helped people attract one another;

— how standards of male and female beauty changed throughout the 20th century;

— why philosophical and sexual revolutions had such a powerful impact on the fashion industry.

This lecture cannot be called “about fashion” in the usual sense — it is a fascinating story about how the culture and morals of society have shaped the way we look and the way we want to look.

The maestro, as always, shares rare stories, vivid examples, and unexpected observations — with ease, humor, and brilliant erudition.

Tickets are already on sale — make sure to get the best seats!

Don’t miss the chance to spend an evening with one of the most charismatic lecturers of our time!

Duration: 2 hours without intermission.

Books by Alexander Vasiliev will be sold in the hall's lobby.
After the meeting, the maestro will sign books for everyone.
