In the program "Nostalgia for the Present" Veniamin Smekhov shared his favorite poems with the audience. He throws a bridge between the 1920s (which he heard from their contemporaries), the 1960s (when the Taganka Theater was not what it is now and played there by Vladimir Vysotsky, Alla Demidova, Leonid Filatov Valery Zolotukhin, and at the head stood Yuri Petrovich Lyubimov), between The Three Musketeers, a favorite film of many generations, and today. The latter snatched mail from under many feet, severed friendships, closed theaters, but kept hope in their souls.

As Veniamin Smekhov says, security helps with “previous hopelessness.” He and his generation also went through many trials, which helped us live and hope!
